Another unfathomable treasure we have obtained in the revelation of the immense power of the word of God. We get to understand that all things were created by Christ Jesus, who is the power of the living word of God, and God created all things by His word.
The account of the gospel of John begins with this truth: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (JOHN 1:1-3)
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (JOHN 1:14)
Jesus is the Word incarnate, and God continues to create all things through His Word, Jesus Christ. As John says, “Without Him was not any thing made that was made.” When God spoke, it was the Word, Jesus Christ, who caused God’s intent to come into being, and that is true today. When God speaks, it is the Word who causes miracles to happen, the sick to be healed, the sinners to be forgiven, the demons to flee, and the weak to be made strong.
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” HEBREWS 11:3. God speaks from the invisible realm and the Word brings forth a visible reality. We were not a people—not a Church— until Jesus Christ spoke the intent of God into existence and said, “Let there be.” The same creative Word that created light in a dark void created salvation in a heathen heart!
