A middle aged man has killed his sister by stabbing her in the Village of Getare Nyamira County.
The accused person Nicholus Mosoti who is currently being detained at the Kisii Police Station woke up early at half past twelve and went to his 55-year-old sister Agnes Kerubo and stabbed her and then escaped.
Informing us of the incident, his brother Lamech Nyang’au has said that for a long time his brother Mosoti has had mental disorders and when he gets drunk he raises violence towards anyone he meets.
Mr Nyang’au has said that, in the past he has been saving their sister from the hands of the suspect but this day when he heard the gall, he ran to his sister but found that he had already stabbed and killed her.
The village members who were filled with grief and shock, said that the accused person has been threatening the deceased unfortunately the incidence has happened.

Elsewhere, on 10/11/2022 a son killed his mother over alleged family wrangles emanating from land and a plate of food.
The accused Innocent Monyenye 34 year old, attacked and seriously assaulted his mother Jane Kemunto, using a slasher and hammer causing grievous bodily harm maiming by chopping off her right palm at Riateba Sub location Kitutu Chache South Constituency.
It was alleged that the motive was due to family wrangles emanating from a land dispute and a plate of food.
According to the police report the victim was rushed to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Acting Chief Duncan Ondieki reported the matter at Kitutu central police station who rushed to the scene.
The suspect is in police custody as the police carry out investigation.
The police said that they recovered slasher, hammer and right hand palm on the scene.
The body of the deceased had deep cuts on the right side of the head, chopped off flesh on the left upper side of the face.
The accused person sustained some head bruises when he tried to run away from irate members of the public.
The body of the deceased was transferred to the same facility awaiting for autopsy.
