Security bodyguards attached to Kisii Jubilee gubernatorial have been withdrawn from him.
Addressing the press, Chris Obure said that personal security and the one manning his residential home were withdrawn
Mr Obure said that, that would not hinder him from achieving his gubernatorial mission.
“Am protected by God and my supporters,”he said.
Mr Obure said that he is prepared to face his opponents.
“My security being withdrawn will not affect me not to be voted in,”he said.
Mr Obure said that he has not received any formal information why the security officers were withdrawn.
He said that he is shocked on the decision why the security officers have been withdrawn at this time when they are heading for election.
He pleaded to the electorates to vote peaceful, he is optimistic that he will carry the day.
He urged his supporters to turnout in large number and vote for a visionary leader.
Those who are in the race to succeed incumbent governor James Ongwae are, Simba Arati (ODM) , Ezekiel Machogu (UDA), Chris Obure (Jubilee), Prof Sam Ongeri (DAP_Kenya), Manson Oyongo(KNC), Bishop Josiah Biyogo (independent) and Ratemo Onchiri (USAWA).
Meanwhile,The Returning Officer Michael Kosgey said the Commission has dispatched election materials to each of the sub county tallying centres and will be taken to the polling stations tomorrow ( Monday), adding the county has 1300 stations and 637,10 registered voters.
He urged residents to turn up in large numbers at the polling stations on Tuesday and elect their leaders and urged them to maintain peace during the election and after the announcement of the results.
Mr Kosgey assured candidates and voters that the commission will conduct a free , fair , transparent and credible election.
