How would it be like to have a twin? To have the same version of you by your side? We can’t really get enough of this. Twins have a special and unique bond that is difficult to break.

Abigail Pogrebin from Washington who describes herself as a mother, writer and wife has a twin sister by the name Robin. Being an identical twin makes her feel more sensible. Their relationship as identical twins is such great with features such as intimacy.

Abigail says she has got a best friend, a person she shares her most private feelings and secrets. The sister knows her better in ways that no one else can. Surprisingly, Robin also has the same to say. They offer each other support academically, socially and emotionally. They are such best friends.

“It has become a big challenge on how to figure out your own identify when you’re the identical half of someone else,” said Abigail. The feeling of being a twin is that you’re never alone and there is someone by your side. It feels like together you make one.

“It’s so funny as some friends kiss me in the streets thinking I’m Abigail because they cannot get the difference and I just have to kiss them and go without telling them I’m not Abigail. We complement and complete each other day by day. It feels like you have a backup all the time and have a built-in best friend,” said Robin.

The good thing of being a twin is that you can dress the same, freak people out and you can also borrow stuff without any worry or fear. What is unique about twins is that no matter what, the fingerprints can never be the same. Abigail and Robin thought that they shared every feature since they are very identical until the day they learnt so.

The hard thing Abigail and Robin face as twins is always facing the same dilemmas of whether to do stuff together. For instance joining the same school, picks up the same sport, pursue the same course and find a startup together.

“Having a twin has its advantages and sometimes disadvantages despite the fact of being inner soul friends,” said the sisters. There is a lot to handle each and every day. May it be something good or bad at the end of it each individual hopes to overcome or rejoice over it.
