Ngogoyo fans treated to night of old school music in Nyeri County

Hundreds of Ngogoyo music lovers on Saturday flocked Honi Resort in Chaka for hours on nonstop gold music.
Rware Ngogoyo fans led by John Maina (MainaPlanner) had organized the much successful events.
Ngogoyo lovers travelled from far as Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru and other towns to enjoy their favourite Kikuyu old school music live.
Electrifying performance by veteran Ngogoyo artist CDM Kiratu, Wahome Wa Maingi, Musaimo, Kajonnie Kariuki and Lady Wanja kept the fans begging for more.
The event attended by who is who in Nyeri was one of its kind.
Nyeri Senator Wahome Wamatinga, New KCC Chairperson Maina Kamiru, KEPHIS chairman Peter Weru, Rhombus CEO Githinji Kinyanjui alias Cocorico, former Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu among other leaders graced the occasion.
Veteran media personality Governor 048 Kamau Wa Kang’ethe did not miss out.
Rware Ngogoyo fans slaughtered several goats for the guest, meat and booze were in plenty and the fans enjoyed free Nyama choma until Sunday morning.
The aging but not tired Ngogoyo musicians never disappointed.
Lady Wanja took the stage with a storm! The fans danced to her great tunes as she performed live.
Wahome Wa Maingi hyped the Ngogoyo lovers with his great songs on love. It’s Maitu Ndigagutengura tune that carried the day!
When Kajonnie Kariuki took the stage, it’s Mwisho Wa Reri that brought nostalgic moments to fans who had not enjoyed such music live for sometime.
Inooro FM’s Karwimbo Mukurino kept the crowd hyped as they waited for the next Ngogoyo maestro to take stage.
When CDM Kiratu’s turn came, his tune
Love Is Unfair (Three words that say I love you) made the fans crazy. He went on charm the Ngogoyo enthusiasts “Dear me love is so unfair. If the one one loves so dearly. Cannot spare a moment for one’s love. How I wish I had no heart to love. Every time I try to think of you…”
Then came Musaimo, the wizard of the guitar!
Ngogoyo lovers had been waiting for his Chai Wa 14, the all-time great! Musaimo give his best! electrifying performance! he took two hours on stage with none stop music, the fans were elated!
Ngogoyo Rware Edition will be memorable to many for months, if not years.
