Kisii residents have condemned the abusive utterances of UDA gubernatorial Ezekiel Machogu towards Cs Interior Fred Matiang’i and Health PS Susan Mochache
It is alleged that Machogu on 3/8/2022 at Bomachoge Chache while he was on his campaign attacked Mochache in Ekegusii dialect on the grounds of she is cohabiting with CS Matiang’i
He further alleged that Mochache has never brought any development in Kisii county.
According to the clip that went viral on social media in Ekegusii , Machogu said that Mochache should be at her home taking care of her family instead of moving around with Cs Interior Fred Matiang’i.
The residents said that it is a taboo in Abagusii culture for Machogu to abuse the women more so in front of a crowd.
While addressing the press, the residents’ referred the utterances as unwarranted as abuses and accusations leveled against the two.
On the other side Gusii professionals’ women said that Machogu should know how to address women.
The professional said that they are going to rally against Machogu due to the utterances he made.
Kisii aspiring Woman representative Under Wiper Party Dorice Donya said that Mr Machogu has clearly indicated that even if he will be elected as a governor he still disrespects women.
“It does not mean that when colleagues are working together is cohabiting,”said Donya.
She said that politicians should be agents of peace rather than being inciters
The residents have sent a strong warning to Machogu over the recent remarks targeting CS Matiang’i and PS Mochache.
According to the residents, the attacks of Machogu will not make him garn more votes from the community.
Florence Kwamboka said that CS Matiang’i and Mochache are not vying for any elective seat.
“We are saddened as Omogusii Community, this is disrespect to the women,” said Kwamboka.
Kwamboka said that Machogu has been a civil servant for many years , he demeaned himself to utter such words.
John Mokua the utterances has portrayed a negative image to the community.
