Chief Conservator, Kenya Forest Service On The Spot Over Employment Diversity Of New Recruits

In a meeting chaired by Yussuf Adan, Members of the Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunities met with the Acting Chief Conservator, Mr. Alex Lemarkoko, Kenya Forest Services on employment diversity.

Mr. Lemarkoko appeared before the Committee to present a preliminary report on division of the 1900 new recruits per county, constituency and community. The report was to inform the Committee of the institution’s progress in providing equal opportunities and ensuring employment diversity.

However, KFS failed to present a detailed analysis prompting the chair and members to adjourn the meeting. The lawmakers gave the Lemarkoko led team two weeks to come up with a more detailed and conclusive reports with facts and figures with percentages per community and table before the committee.

Lawmakers did however; complement the Kenya Forest Service representatives on their recent recruitment exercise that reached the grassroot level.

Members present are Yusuf Adan Haji, Liza Chelule Chepkorir, Yusuf Hassan Abdi, Charles Ong’ondo Were, Edward Kaunya Oku, Joseph Samal Lomwa, Martine Peter Owino, Duncan Maina Mathenge, Fedrick Lusuli Ikana, Mary Maingi, Hon. Muthoni Marubu, Agnes Pareiyo Mantaine, Duncan Maina Mathenge, Mary Maingi and Onesmus Ngogoyo.
