The country is expected to host a national event that is, Madaraka Day at Uhuru Garden scheduled today. Various leaders political leaders, government officials among others are expected to attend the event. The renovations at Uhuru Garden have already been done and ready to host thousands of citizens.
The Chief Guest of the event will Honourable President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Maada. The national event will also host ambassadors and leaders from diaspora. Cabinet Secretary will be among the guest at the scheduled event.
The President Hon Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is expected to deliver speech which is the key expectations of many citizen.Normally, Kenyans usually await the Presidential speech which touches on issues that affect the country at large.
Madaraka Day fete is usually commemorated every year on 1st June to mark the day Kenya attained internal self rule from a British government in 1920.It marks the freedom that Kenya received in 1963 and declared to be a republic.
Thousands of Kenyans are expected to attend this key event at Uhuru Gardens to be entertained and listen to speeches from president among other leaders.
