Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki aka Mrembo na Kazi embarked on the new week by assessing the progress of affordable housing project.
“During my visit to Bahati Ward, I had the privilege of touring the ongoing construction site of the affordable houses project, which was launched by President William Samoei Ruto.
One of the primary objectives of my visit was to affirm the promise made by President Ruto to employ local residents in the construction process. This commitment to utilizing local talent not only stimulates the local economy but also creates employment opportunities for individuals who call Bahati Constituency their home. It was heartening to witness firsthand the camaraderie and passion exhibited by the skilled workforce, whose expertise is evident in the tremendous progress made thus far.
Furthermore, my visit aimed to ensure that construction materials are sourced from local businesses, bolstering their growth, and supporting entrepreneurship within our community. By prioritizing these sources, we strengthen the fabric of our local economy and foster a sustainable cycle of growth and prosperity.
I hereby extend my heartfelt gratitude to the president for his unwavering dedication to this project and his belief in the potential of our constituency. Your visionary leadership has ignited a positive transformation, and we look forward to the completion of this ambitious project and the launch of other similar projects in the remaining wards.”
