Volta Fashion Week 2023 – Attivi Sarah Mawunyo

1. Who are you?

Ans. I am Attivi Sarah Mawunyo also known as AKUGOLD  I am 26 years and and a fashion model.

2. Where are you from?

Ans. I am from Aflao in the Volta region. (Ghana)

3. Where did your journey began with your craft?

Ans. As a child, I had dreamt  of winning pageant so I started watching fashion shows and imitating models. Professionally, my career started when I featured in pageant organized in Aflao last year.

4. Anyone to give credit to?

Ans. I give credit to my dad and mom for supporting my decision to be a model. They are my real life super heroes.

5. Highlight of your career?

I started my career by participating in  two pageants called Miss Godigbe and Miss Volta region in my community and region.(Volta region).  From there, I joined Glam Model Agency. Went for cut walk practice with other models and guess what? I took part in the Volta Fashion Week held earlier this year February. I have also started a Foundation called HUMANIZE EPILEPTICS The aim of this foundation is to minimize stigmatization on epileptic patients and make the world a comfortable place for them. I have also been nominated as STAR ANGLOPHONE FEMALE MODEL OF THE YEAR in this forthcoming Volta Fashion Week and I hope to win the award. Thank you.

6. Fashion is diverse and growing what’s your take on African Fashion?

Ans. African fashion is incredibly diverse and rich, reflecting a tapestry of cultures, traditions, and contemporary influences. The vibrant colors, bold patterns, and innovative designs, make African fashion distinctive and globally appreciated. It inspiring to see how designers across the continent celebrate heritage by pushing boundaries, and contributing to a global dialogue on style and identity.

7. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Ans. I see myself featuring in miss universe.

8. How did you hear about Volta fashion week?

Ans.: Like I said earlier, I’m part of the Glam models in the Glam Model Agency and the agency is the organizer of the Volta Fashion Week so, it gave me an automatic entry and awareness about the fashion.

9. Are you coming to the event?

Ans. Absolutely, I will be there.

10. Do you think you are the best in your craft?

Ans. I am the best in my unique way.
