Upbringing is declared as an obligatory act in our religion. I think that the words “education” and “mentor” that we use the most often come from the same root as the name of God, “Rob”, which increases the responsibility of teachers. So this is not an easy task. Upbringing is not just influence, order or control, inspection, it is divine. Upbringing means to always control and monitor the child, because in the first verse of Surah Al-Fatiha, Allah Almighty says : Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. In this verse, Allah mentions the name of Lord. “Robbil Alamiyn” means the teacher of all worlds. If God’s guidance, i.e. control, monitoring, stops for a moment, the worlds will go off track…
Muslims pay special attention to the education of children. The development of the child’s faith into a whole, perfect person is beneficial for both parents and society. The person who will put a crown on your head on the Day of Judgment and the person who will lead you to Paradise is also your child. According to Islam, in order for the child to grow up to be a Qari and a Qaria, the mother should listen to or recite the Qur’an while the child is still in the womb. The Qur’an is absorbed into his blood, In Shaa Allah, after the birth of a child, he begins to read the Qur’an from a young age, and they grow up to be Qaris.
One of the verses in the Holy Qur’an was revealed when the Companions of Madinah came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and complained that they should sell their houses and move to a closer place because their houses are too far away. That is, there is no need to sell the houses, if they are coming from afar, they will be rewarded for every step they take. In one of the interpretations, the meaning of “their footprints” in this verse is expressed as our work, our descendants. From this verse of Allah, we understand that Allah records not only our deeds, but also the deeds of our descendants. That is why upbringing is necessary.
A kid is like a piece of white paper. If a teacher or parent ignores their child for a moment, their upbringing will be ruined. Rasuli Akram ( s.a.w ) said that every child born is born in fitrah, that is, every baby is pure, it is like white paper.
