Following the rays of the dying sun to a small town of Molepolole in Botswana, there is a gentleman holding his camera focusing his lens on the livelihoods of the villagers and beyond. Mr Obakeng ‘Medo’ Ralegoreng of Medo Photography is a 26 year old gentleman who decided to follow his passion of art by capturing the world with his lens and sharing the beauty of life with Botswana audience.
After finishing his form 5, Obakeng had many doubts of his future as he was afraid of how he would do on his exams. Obakeng recalled that his fears were confirmed the day the results were released as he did not qualify for progressing to tertiary as his points were much lower. Growing up as the only boy child, he was more worried of disappointing his family and himself.
Two years later, the government of Botswana released an initiative called TARGET 20000 which was aimed at assisting those who failed their high school into studying any practical course of their choice for a certificate level, and as luck would have had it, Obakeng successfully applied and got admitted in Limkokwing University in Gaborone to study certificate in Graphic Design.
