Dr. Emmanuel K. Nzai

Dr. Emmanuel K. Nzai has been appointed as the Chairman of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board. His appointment, announced through Gazette Notice number 8263 on the 5th of July, will see Dr. Nzai chair the Board for a period of three years.
Dr. Nzai previously served as the first Executive Officer of the Kenya Vision 2030 Secretariat from 2009 to 2012. With an extensive background in public policy and economic development, he is an invaluable asset to Vision 2030.
As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani (JPK) Secretariat, he has driven socio-economic development across the six coastal counties of Mombasa, Lamu, Kilifi, Kwale, Tana River, and Taita Taveta. Additionally, he serves as an Advisor for the Go Blue initiative, which promotes the blue economy in the coastal region.
Dr. Nzai holds a Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Public Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia, USA. He also possesses a Diploma in Business Administration from the Technical University of Mombasa.
With over 20 years of experience, his career is marked by roles as an innovative C-suite executive, development economist, and public policy specialist, all of which have been crucial in promoting sustainable economic growth and enhancing competitiveness in both the public and private sectors.
Under the leadership of Dr. Nzai and the guidance of the Vision 2030 Board, Kenya remains committed to achieving its ambitious goals and transforming the socio-economic landscape of the country for the betterment of all its citizens.
About Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat:
Established in 2008, Kenya Vision 2030 is a comprehensive development blueprint aimed at transforming Kenya into an upper-middle-income country by 2030, ensuring a high quality of life for its citizens in a clean and secure environment.
This visionary agenda is implemented through successive five-year Medium-Term Plans (MTPs), with the current phase being the Fourth Medium Term Plan (MTP IV) for the period 2023-2027.
