Nowadays, social networks have become an integral part of our lives. Naturally, they have their own positive and negative aspects. It should be noted that it is difficult to accomplish any task without social networks, and today, information technology plays a crucial role in communication among people. Internet services help people of all ages to connect with loved ones, establish business connections, and spend time online. So, to what extent are social networks beneficial and harmful to people?
The 21st century is an era that promotes computer technology and new methods. It is hard to imagine life without the internet. This is undoubtedly a new branch of civilization, which in many ways simplifies our lives. At the same time, there are many criticisms of the internet. The bad habits that emerge on social networks are always criticized, but not everything is bad or leads to disaster. In fact, it is not correct to malign the internet due to various criticisms. Let’s look at the positive and negative aspects of the internet.
There are many advantages to social networks. For example, they serve as a tool for establishing business connections, advertising products and goods, and registering online for higher education institutions. Additionally, these internet networks create opportunities to have open conversations with distant loved ones, and for young people like us, searching for useful information on various pages undoubtedly aids in acquiring knowledge. The examples mentioned above may seem few at first glance, but social networks are a tool that solves more tasks than we might think.
As the saying goes, there is another side to the coin; social networks also have negative aspects. Nowadays, popular social networks such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube consume a lot of people’s time. There are people around us who use these networks continuously throughout the day.
Therefore, it is necessary to adhere to some norms and manage time correctly while using any social network responsibly.
In conclusion, it is essential to teach the younger generation to use social networks only for necessary purposes and to see results from using them wisely and effectively. I, of course, advocate the idea that social networks are useful and necessary.
