Beneath the lamp’s soft, golden glow,
Where thoughts wander and shadows grow,
We turn the pages, slow and deep,
Awakening words that never sleep.
Stories breathe in ancient dust,
Binding time with fragile trust,
From distant lands and voices old,
Their whispers warm, their secrets told.
A poet’s sigh, a scholar’s quest,
In every tale, we find our rest,
The worlds we tread with careful pace,
Leave marks unseen, a gentle trace.
Through paper doors, we step inside,
Where truth and fiction often hide,
In every line, a piece of life,
In every book, the end of strife.
Literature, our guiding star,
Shows who we are, and who we are far,
It teaches us to dream and see,
The beauty in humanity.
So as we read, our spirits rise,
Finding love in a thousand eyes,
Each chapter close, yet never done,
For in these words, we’re all as one.
