Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has continued to request President William Ruto to instruct police officers to release the young people who were abducted and their whereabouts remains unknown.
Gachagua said that it’s now more than 72hrs since the president promised to end abductions, several youths who’ve been abducted have not yet been released.
Gachagua also asked the young generation to continue calling out the government and holding it accountable.
The former DP was speaking at Lion’s Stadium in Kakamega County during the 6th edition of the Cleo Malala Supercup.
He reiterated his appeal to the youth to fully complete their activism on social media by bringing in change and making it a reality through the ballot in the coming elections.
He added that the Gen-Z’s are the hope that the country has on the road to integrity, stating that they will sort out the political problems of the country once and for all.
He, however, advised the youth to register as voters as it is the only way to liberate the country from bad governance.
On the unity of purpose between different communities in the country, Gachagua said that he will continue making more friends across the country to bring together all the communities under one vision of making Kenya a better place to live.
He was accompanied by various Western region leaders including DAP Party leader Eugene Wamalwa as well as others from the mountain region.
