Nyandarua County Governor Francis Kimemia yesterday led area leaders in campaigning for Azimio La Umoja top leaders ahead of General Election.
The leaders hosted Deputy President designate Martha Karua in a daylong tour of Nyandarua County.
Ms Karua who made a triumphant entry in the county started her tour in Ndaragwa town and traversed all the five constituencies in Nyandarua.
She made stopovers in Mairo Inya, Oljororok, Olkalou, Miharati, Engineer, Njabini and later Magumu.
Calling on Nyandarua residents to re-elect Governor Kimemia for his exemplary development record, Hon. Karua said the Azimio Coalition had only one gubernatorial candidate in the County.
Karua said the Governor deserved a second term for setting a firm foundation in the development of Nyandarua.
Governor Kimemia, who was accompanied by First Lady Ambassador Ann Thuita, pledged to rally the troops in Nyandarua to ensure that the Azimio team carries the day.
Kimemia said Nyandarua will be among the counties that will overwhelmingly vote for Hon. Raila Odinga as President, noting that about 80 percent of elected leaders are still in Jubilee, an affiliate party of the Azimio Coalition.
Also in the entourage was Deputy Governor Cecilia Mbuthia and MPs Jeremiah Kioni, Amos Kimunya, David Kiaraho and Thuku Kwenya and other Jubilee Party candidates.
