CS Matiangi assures Public Tight Security as he cautions leaders on divisive politics Ahead of August polls

CS interior Dr Fred Matiangi has asked Kenyan leaders have been asked to shun divisive politics and work together for national cohesion and development.
Speaking at Kenyerere SDA in Bobadi Kisii County during a fundraising, CS said that the country can only realise development if leaders embrace a united front.
Dr Matiangi said that leaders should stop insulting each other as this can cause division along tribal lines.
“Public should not allow politicians to divide them on tribal lines but should continue living in peace with each other,”he said.
According to CS election polls will come and go but public will remain United despite of different political affiliations.
However he challenged politicians to compete on policies rather than using incitive words to divide Kenyans.
On issue of security CS said that there is tight security during the political campaigns and ahead of August 9 polls.
He said that security officers have been deployed across the country to beef up security.
He appealed to leaders to exercise sobriety in their work and direct their energy towards preaching Peace and uniting Kenyans.
The Cs was accompanied by Ps Health Susan Mochache and other local leaders.
