Nyandarua County Governor Francis Kimemia’s administration has continued to empower various groups in the area as a way of raising their income.
The governor has been criss-crossing the county issuing equipment, tools and other items to various groups as a tool of economic empowerment.
Hundreds of organized groups have so far benefitted from the programme which has seen job creation made a reality despite the harsh economic times that the country has been facing.
Under this programme, governor Kimemia yesterday visited Engineer Ward in Kinangop Sub-county where he issued empowerment equipment to various youth groups.
The Governor gave out washing machines, car wash equipment, Public Address System and incubators to several groups in the area.
The groups are taken through a vetting process after presenting their proposals to the department of Youth, Sports and Gender Service.
