That face I saw in the mirror
The one that is far from true error
That which is the opposite of terror
The same, that was all the more dearer
One flip to the realm of unfamiliar,
And suddenly appears so stranger!
With flaws and strokes made so clearer,
The age old and soul that grew colder..
Stale scenes and smiles so cleaner,
Rough dates and sighs lay marker,
Light source and shadows saw later,
Left shades as secrets improper,
She saw it, that made her my lover,
And the same which drew her much further.
Hard to see, but all the more truer,
But all else saw it as the top layer,
Of the unseen depth, called off to be safer.
