Curriculum Development Workshop Kicks Off At Nyeri National Polytechnic

A Curriculum Development Workshop officiallly started yesterday at Nyeri National Polytechnic.
The forum brings together key education and industry stakeholders.
In attendance during yesterday’s forum were the institution’s Chief Principal, Dr. David Mwangi, representatives from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA), the Kenya National Qualification Authority (KNQA), Ministry of Education, Science and Technology’s Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training
(MOEST-DTEVET), industry experts, and subject matter specialists; all united by a shared goal of strengthening skills development and relevance in training.
The workshop focuses on the development of curricula for: Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Option) – Level 7, Building Engineering – Level 7, Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Power Option) – Level 7, Production Manager/Supervisor (CPD), Floriculture – Level 4, Vermiculture – Level 3 and Sericulture – Level 3.
Additionally, the development of occupational standards has commenced for; Hospitality & Tourism – Level 7, Cosmetology – Level 7, Irrigation Technology – Level 4, Instrumentation in Analytical Chemistry (CPD) and Entrepreneurship (CPD)
This initiative underscores our commitment to enhancing training quality, industry alignment, and innovation in Kenya’s TVET sector.
