Two leading aspirants for the Kirinyaga County gubernatorial seat have eventually agreed on the way forward.

Through high ranking consultations,  it was finally agreed that the area Senator Charles Kibiru be the Jubilee aspirant to be deputised by his competitor,  the current Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri.

More to that and to make sure that he has powers over the formation of the county government; the two will share powers on half basis.

Further, the deputy governor will take over the Finance docket.

Now, the acrimonious issue has been resolved after days of back and forth.

Immediately after the agreement was made, the two vowed to move with speed so as to ensure the capture that seat.

They will face it off with among others, the Incumbent Ann Waiguru who is defending her seat on UDA ticket, former Mwea MP Peter Gitau and the current Women Representative Wangui Ngirichi.
