The media industry was yesterday thrown into mourning following the demise of Nanyuki based writer Eliud Waithaka.
Waithaka who was working for the Radio Africa group died early yesterday over what is suspected to be tuberculosis infection.
Mt Kenya Times was told that Waithaka called one of his colleague and sought his assistance to be taken to hospital.
The colleague said, upon reaching his home,Β he found his neighbours preparing him to take rush him to hospital.
However, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Waithaka was based in Nanyuki town, where he worked for the The Star, KenyaThe Star, Kenya (Radio Africa Group) and covered major events such as the Ol moran insecurity.
Before joining Radio Africa,Β he used to work for Royal Media Services in the same area.
