Deputy Head of Mission steps in as Chargé d’Affaires following Daudi’s departure
By John Kariuki
The Kenya High Commission in Ottawa announced yesterday that Deputy Head of Mission Ambassador Geoffrey Kaituko has assumed the role of Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, following the departure of Ambassador Carolyne Kamende Daudi.
Kaituko brings extensive public service, diplomatic and leadership experience to the role. He has previously held several senior positions in the Government of Kenya, including Principal Secretary, and has served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Kenya High Commission in Ottawa for the past nine months. During that period, he contributed significantly to strengthening Kenya–Canada relations and advancing Kenya’s interests in Canada.
The High Commission said it looks forward to continued close collaboration with the Government of Canada, the diplomatic community, members of the Kenyan diaspora and all partners under Kaituko’s leadership as Chargé d’Affaires.
