Tribute To A Sister
The wound is fresh
The pain just unleash Memories of the journey
Well lived, a legacy no money
Can buy.
First time I saw a baby She had an amazing child Now grown to be a woman She had passionate feel
To New Year’s Day, colored
Scones and loved all kids!
Just when we were much older
We knew bloodline ended
Where, because she made us all feel
Surreal, United and feel loved!
I was a little
Damsel, had no title
But I had zeal to go to school
Seven years was the rule
For every Botswana kid to go to school But my birth mother was in kasane Yes! it was a bit insane
For education to be minded Way it was! Yes, she landed Me in school, my granny Just commanded cagey
Maybe it was, there she registered Me, decades later I look, stamped She pioneered my future!
Today I celebrate another
Sister, friend, daughter but a mother
It is painful but the memories of her are sweet
It is stamped and engraved
In a beautiful way! Fare thee well! Go well our lovely beautiful loved
Sister, friend and a mother!
