The evening opened with a vibrant and emotionally charged performance by the SQS Dance Crew, whose choreography reflected the gala’s theme of peace and unity. Their display set the tone for a night dedicated to celebrating individuals and institutions shaping Kenya’s social and economic progress.

This year’s ceremony brought together changemakers, trailblazers, and visionary leaders from across the country, figures whose work continues to uplift communities and steer transformative growth in sectors ranging from leadership and business to health, media, agriculture, innovation, entertainment, sports and education.

JKA CEO Babu Mtakeover reiterated the organization’s commitment to merit-based national recognition, noting that the awards remain one of Kenya’s most credible, research-driven platforms for celebrating excellence. “Our aim is to highlight those driving measurable impact and positive change across the country,” he said.

The 2025 awards cycle began with a 21-day public nomination period, followed by a 14-day vetting and analysis phase led by the National Secretariat. Nominees were evaluated based on authenticity, national impact, and verifiable achievements. Those who successfully passed the rigorous evaluation were celebrated during the gala.

To ensure fairness, transparency, and accurate tallying, the JKA partnered with Evo Polls, an independent polling and data management firm that provided daily updates and technical oversight throughout the voting period.

The ceremony also featured notable appearances and major announcements. Mr. Felix Chege, Founder and CEO of Real Sources, was unveiled as the Chief Guest for this year’s edition, recognized for his leadership and contribution to Kenya’s development agenda.
