Rebeca Miano First Female Attorney General
REBECCA MIANO, the immediate former investment Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary is Kenya’s first female Attorney General.
Miano was appointed by His Excellency the President and brings a wealth of experience of over 30 years combined in both private and public sector.
AG Miano is kindhearted, strong-willed, a go-getter and a pace setter.

This makes AG Rebecca Miano the ninth attorney general since independence: her predecessors since independence are as enumerated: Charles Mugane Njonjo, James Karugu, Joseph Kamere, Mathew Muli, Amos Wako, Prof. Githu Muigai, Kihara Kariuki and Justin Bedan Muturi

- Postgraduate Studies in Comparative Law -Queensland Australia
- Certified Public Secretary CPS (K)
- Rebecca Miano attained fellowship status (FCS) from the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK) in October 2023.

Rebecca Miano was the first female MD & CEO of KenGen after raising from the position of Company Secretary and Legal Affairs Director. She worked in KenGen’s Legal department from 1998-2017 and served as Legal Director and Legal Lead from 2008 to 2017.
Miano has been recognized as one among top 100 Women CEOs and top 25 Movers and Shakers in Africa.
