At this era, not only citizens’ but also politicians’ stomachs are rumbling, with a thirst to quench on whom to replace who? Or who is there to stay. In about a week, most of political parties have conducted their party primaries. Some contestants such as George Natembeya aspiring for gubernatorial seat in Trans Nzoia County. He found it easy to, since he was spoon-fed and given a direct nomination by his party DAP-Kenya. Some politicians of UDA faced it rough giving claims of rigging of elections in favor of others. All said and done what remains is to campaign and finally lock horns in the forthcoming general elections to see who will be crowned in which position!
But as the time elapses, there is still a puzzle that it’s hard to fix. In both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio-One Kenya alliance, everyone is salivating to be appointed as the running mate of the two horses. In Kenya Kwanza side, Mudavadi and Weta were promised 40% of the government if their coalition wins the election and their cases was neutralized. In Azimio side the same, each and everytime a new member is welcomed the tactic is rearranged. But this is not enough. Everyone is fuming with rage, if he/ she is not taken as a running mate, they are ready to terminate the agreed and signed agreement.
If it based on tyranny of numbers, both horses have, but it is not enough. The secret for one of the above to be crowned as a winner in the fourth coming election is the running mate the latter will choose. In a couple of decades – almost three. People from Mount Kenya region have been known in casting if not all of their votes but more than 93% of their votes in a single casket/ballot. The fundamental thing they are basing at is the party , the presidential aspirant is in.
Now that this time round they don’t have a potential presidential candidate. Among the presidential aspirants, the one who will choose a leader based on their taste and preference will reap a surplus harvest unlike the one who will choose a good for nothing leader but a fundamental key MUST be from the mountain. Politics is a house of cards it depends how you place yours…
