The last amen( absolutely and unequivocally true) truth I want to put you in remembrance of about our worship is what Jesus told the precious Samaritan woman at the well: “The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (JOHN 4:23-24 NKJV)”.
Did you hear that in your spirit? God is seeking for worshippers! He is searching the earth for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. When I read that my heart just leaps up and says, “Here am I, Lord! Find me! I want to worship you in spirit and in truth!” In the fifth chapter of Ephesians, Paul admonishes the Ephesians to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18), and the Greek language there indicates to be continually filled, every moment filling up more and more with the Spirit.
He likens our being filled with the Spirit to being intoxicated with wine: “Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess: but be filled with the Spirit” (v. 18). We are to be “under the influence” of the Spirit at all times! When we drink of the Spirit, He energizes and activates and causes the nature of Christ to rise up in us. We do things we wouldn’t normally do, say things we wouldn’t normally say, and the more we drink of Him, the more we want to drink of Him.
HALELUJAH IN CHRIST JESUS FOREVER AND EVER MORE: AMEN.
