Over the past few years, HIV/AIDS has stopped being a major topic of concern to most people. The epidemic was long forgotten with the introduction of the COVID 19 pandemic. This however remains to be a topic of concern and should be taken more seriously. It is becoming alarming when young people are infected with the virus and it is taken lightly.
Cases of young ladies infecting multiple men to get revenge for their being infected are a common scene. The youth in universities are the most affected people because they are more exposed and they have an urge to explore the world at their age. Unprotected sex and with multiple partners is common scenery in the universities. The youth throw all caution to the air and live recklessly in the name of enjoying their youth.
It should however be noted that out of ten people at least three are infected with HIV and AIDS. The youth should take more care of their sexual activities. Abstinence is most efficient way despite the other ways of contracting the disease. If not they should stick to one partner and make sure their partner is negative to avoid contracting the virus unknowingly.
The youth should not condone sexual practices without use of protection. It helps a great way to protect yourself against whatever may happen. Prevention is better than cure. HIV/AIDS is not dead. The virus is slowly creeping on the young generation even without their knowledge. The youth should pay more attention on the virus and take care of themselves by changing their ways and stop living recklessly. They should know that there is always life after youthhood.
