No. My publisher did everything.
7).Your best poem from your book,tell us more about that poem
“Goodbye.”It laments about a lover who wouldn’t let go after being hurt so much by the one she truly loved. His lover then gathered all the courage to tell her its time they end it all because the scars are too deep to keep on trying.
8).Who motivated you to write?
Kudakwahe Chuma. She had always believed in me.
9).What inspired you to write?
Heartbreak.My poems are mostly laments and writing down my feelings have always helped me in healing.
10).Do you have fans?How do you react to fans?
No. My friends and colleagues are my biggest supporters but I have a wide range of followers on Facebook from Southern Africa
11).Bogus versus legitimate publishers ,have you encountered such?
Fortunately I haven’t.My publisher is legit and puts her clients best interests at heart
12).Merging the books with community service,are you involved in any community service?
Not yet but I am planning to donate my copies to the school library in my town to inspire any aspiring writers there.
13).How did your faith help in marketing your craft?
Believing that I am good at what I do gave me courage to knock on doors I never dreamt of.
14).How many copies did you sell so far?or how many do you plan to sell in near future?
50 copies and still getting orders.
15).What are your future plans?
Collaborating with authors all over Africa and getting my poems published worldwide.
16).Encouragement to up upcoming writers ,what can you say?
It’s true when they say if you want to hide something from a black person, put it in black and white. Our fellow Africans don’t read. You need to be ready for anything because demand is very low.Take your time to perfect your work and package it neatly, patience is key. Also, work on your self-esteem because no matter what, there will always be someone who writes better than you but that shouldn’t discourage you or make you feel like your work is not up to standard.
