Preparedness is a major contribution towards good performance in an exam in whichever level of education. For the candidates awaiting the national examinations their eleventh hour is finally here. It is so unfortunate that majority of the students wait up to the last minute so as to prepare for their exams. The issue of procrastinating during their study period has affected them in one way or the other. In schools we see students running up and down after their teachers trying to cover what they should have done earlier when reality hits them that time are running out.
Candidates should note that by being well prepared they are in a better position to curb the exam irregularities that come forth as a result of exam tension. When one is well prepared he or she develops self-confidence when they are tackling questions in their exams. One is able to bring out their points clearly since they have gathered adequate information in the area where the question is cutting across.
Secondly, considering all the efforts the parents and the guardians have put to sustain them in school should act as a motivating factor for them to work smart for better performance in their exams. It would be a big loss spending much time in school and in the end of the study period one performs poorly.
There have been several suicidal cases after results have released. This is because they perform contrary to their expectations. To avoid such cases let student put worth efforts that will bear good results to avoid embarrassment.
Exam preparation takes commitment, perseverance, hardwork and so on. The time given before sitting for examinations is enough for a candidate to give the necessary input required.
Students have all the sources required for good performance, that includes books, past papers, teachers, fellow students and therefore they should make maximum utilisation of all those and they shall produce results.
In addition, preparing well for the exams puts them in a position to perform well and pursue the careers of their choice and passion. This helps avoid confusion during career choice after results are out. Previously we have had majority of individuals having difficulties in career choice due to poor performance either in particular subjects or overall grades. Now that the candidates have a chance they can do the necessary to avoid getting into confused situations afterwards.
Everything comes with it time, studying does not take forever, it is just a short period of time and one is done. For the candidates utilise your time appropriately and prepare well since there may be no other chance like that.
