Despite the struggles of the government to protect our environment ,there is still need for more efforts to be put in place to protect our beautiful environment.
It is very unfortunate that the government banned cutting down of trees long time ago but still at the moment we hear the sounds of the power saws in the government forests cutting down valuable trees that are known to be hard wood and natural.
This worrying situation needs to be addressed with immediate effect because we are likely going to increase the deserts in the country which is a threat to the citizens as we shall experience shortage of rains which would in turn lead to low food supply in the country.
Forests act as water catchment areas and destruction of them have negative implications to the citizens . Let’s protect our forests and conserve our environment.
