Mehrangiz Shirinova
People wearing hats
He brought my father
The roof was brought to a one-board house
My eyes were filled with tears
He slept soundly
Our yard is crowded
Supposedly a market
“Dad,” I said, going to him and whispering softly
Wake up and move a little
I left shivering
Tears flowed from my eyes suddenly
My mother came to me and whispered, “My daughter.”
Now I am your father and Mather
What I wanted to say didn’t come out of my heart
I still couldn’t take my eyes off my father
In my dream, he said, “I’m going to caress you.”
When the time came, he would take my father away, and the sound of his ominous steps could be heard
I couldn’t let go of the pain in my heart
Let no one see this sorrow as bad as the sun
