According to the survey that has been conducted, 50% of the graduates from colleges and universities are unemployed. This phenomenon has melted the minds of many as to why these are occurring. Many individuals who have graduated from universities are jobless to an extent they decide to work as ” Mjengo” men and women thus , Education has sounded to many as a riddle both the literate and the illiterate.
This phenomenon has made many individuals pessimistic about the future, since even the highly educated individuals still “share the same bowl of struggles” with the least educated and the illiterate.
Unemployment of the graduates has resulted to deceleration of respect in the society, since the community view them as of the same class because there is no visible evidence to many that they should be highly regarded. Unemployment of most of the graduates has pushed many of them to drug abuse since they have become pessimistic about the future, and this vice of drug abuse has easily leaded to vices like rape cases, some have emerged to be conmen and conwomen.
This phenomenon should be taken into consideration by the government to ensure at least 80%of the graduates from high institution levels are given opportunities to work in various institutions. The government should also increase employed opportunities by coming up and increasing the number of organizations of value so that graduates and people of lower education level can benefit.
