Equity Bank Group Foundation is sponsoring 1,000 pupils who completed their Primary Education last year and are set to join Form one this year.
The beneficiaries of the 2024 WingstoFly were identified across the country after a rigorous exercise that identified the most needy cases in all corners of the country.
Yesterday, all the beneficiaries met in the various Equity Bank branches across the country where the financial institution’s senior staff and other leaders witnessed their flagging off to Nairobi’s Pangani Girls High School where they will converge for a two-day induction and training programme ahead of commissioning and later joining Secondary School in a few days time.
During induction, the class of 2024 Wings to Fly scholars will be trained on what to expect in high school, life in secondary school, reading and studying methods, the Wings to Fly programme, and taken through the Equity Group’s Academic Policy and Code of Conduct.
The Wings to Fly program is in its 14th year and the beneficiaries who are bright but hailing from financially challenged backgrounds benefit from a comprehensive secondary school scholarship.
Wings to Fly has up to date transformed the lives of 55,583 scholars.
