Those of opposite sex will go ahead and marry each other. Had conditions never allowed them to meet at all then they could have not developed friendship. They could have remained unknown to each other.

There are people you can claim that you went to the same school, in specific class with including the same stream. If at basic school more than seven years you spent together while others you met at secondary school and spent around four years together. They are generally your age mates.
In the estate there are those who neighbours you and you constantly meet and share a word or two. Some of them you attend the same play ground and religious institutions. You may belong to either the same or different ages.

Someone may fall in love with you just because you love a certain genre of music that he like so that you could be attending live concerts together or be singing certain songs for him as well as never getting bored as she plays and sings songs on daily basis. A similar case would apply for the diehard lovers of soccer, athletes, boxers, car racers or admirers of any other sport.
It is easy for a farmer to fall in love with a fellow farmer as they have a lot of common interests. They could meet at agricultural shows and markets and have a lot to share be the stories revolve around changes in climatic conditions, government intervention in agriculture, pests and diseases in both plants and animals, mechanization in agriculture, emerging marketing strategies for agricultural products among other issues affecting this sector. Over time their friendship will be cemented and topics to discuss will never be tackled exhaustively.
Those in judiciary like magistrates, lawyers, prosecutors regularly meet with the ones dealing with law enforcement among them prison warders and police officers as they handle cases. It is not a wonder to find members of these teams developing friendships over time even going ahead to marry each other. The location where they meet may not be the friendliest one but all of them see this as a common denominator and make the best use of it.
You hear stories of people who meet for the first time at hospital, develop friendship which lasts for decades. None of these persons had planned for this meeting which turned to be an important point that ignited the love which they nurtured and grew into a strong bond with some culminating into marriage.
Awareness that you have similar interests or someone has something you like makes you to love him more and more once he reciprocates the bond between the two of you becomes strong and strong.
