A habit is a disease in that whatever you get used to do no matter how beneficial or harmful it is to you, you will always feel that something is amiss whenever you fail to do it. It pains if the habit is bad one as you will keep causing harm yet feeling as if it is your right to do so. To be safe it is important to evaluate the pros and cons of every action that you take and be ready to better yourself from time to time to be favourable with the ever changing sistuations.
In a country like Kenya the education system is more theoretical than practical. When you go to religious institutions the leadership focuses more on verbally preaching what need to be done. Government ministries head offices are all located in the city and most of them operate outside the city in a similar fashion to what is happening in the headquarters so they remain theoretical. You will learn that the rest of population have got used to the theoretical approach of issues to an extent some copy paste what others are doing without minding the impact of what they are doing.

If they just rely on the theory that exists in books on how policies should be formulated without putting into consideration the actual situation facing their constituents. The later would realise what they are being told is not working then devise own ways of survival and the country would be living a lie everyone behaving as if things are okay despite that not being the reality.
Some professions like medicine, teaching and legal are held with prestige by most societies in the world consequently many people wish to join these professions due to their statuses despite some of them being talented in different fields hence their output remains poor, they struggle to do their work and lack creativity.
In spite of this the society glorifies them primarily due to the disciplines that they are dealing with. They live a lie as they do not give the best to the society, they are not the best in such fields and some even do not appreciate what they do only that they care about social status.
Being sincere with self by joining professions that one is talented in will help improve one’s productivity, work at ease, remain creative and impact on many in the society with related talents to join that field.
Most of societies especially Africans are patriarchal but you find in some instances some men are overshadowed by their female counterparts yet they do not want to admit this so as for them not to seem weak or abnormal. They suffer in silence at personal level but while in public they behave as if life is normal.
There have been various campaigns for gender equity aimed at promoting the welfare of girl child yet little or no efforts have been put to uplift the boy child. When the girl child becomes over empowered at times at expense of boy child there still remains imbalance in society though many people would not mind living a lie showing that men are privileged owing to most of traditions.
A holistic approach to the roles and privileges of each and every member of the society would ensure that both men and women enjoy equitable positions according to their abilities.
