Former DP Rigathi Gachagua joins leaders in a hymn at Kerarapon PCEA church in Kajiado North Constituency yesterday

The 2nd Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has criticised leaders who have demeaned Catholic Bishops for finding faults in the Kenya government administration.
The former Deputy President called on for the leader to show respect to the clergy and stop talking down upon them or lecturing them, terming the voice of the church as the voice of God.
Mr. Gachagua was speaking during a church service at PCEA Kerarapon in Kajiado North Constituency, Kajiado County where former moderator Jesse Kamau presided over the ceremony.
Gachagua has added that before the clergy makes any statement, they first do a proper public participation with Kenyans and the majority of faithful to understand what the issues are.
He called on the government to listen to the church and do what pertains to them to do because the majority of Kenyans are suffering.
On freedom of speech , the 2nd Deputy President of Kenya has appealed to the government to stop gagging the church on sermons and respect the freedom of speech to everyone.
He said its paramount for the church to remain independent and without criticism because they can easily self-regulate without interference from any quarters.
