In a significant boost to his bid for the Othaya constituency parliamentary seat, Antony Gitonga Antogito, the DCP aspirant delivered a whopping 15,465 registered members to the party’s Nyeri County officials.
The milestone marks a major milestone in Gitonga’s quest to popularise and strengthen the membership of the DCP party in Othaya constituency,ย which he aspires to represent in Parliament after the 2027 General Elections.
According to Gitonga, the exercise, which was conducted across all wards in the Constituency, has sent a clear message that DCP is the party of choice among Othayans.
“This extensive exercise has confirmed that Othaya is ready for youthful, competent and people-centred representation,” Gitonga said as he addressed the party’s county officials.
He expressed his gratitude to his team of recruiters, who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the exercise. He also thanked the people of Othaya for embracing the DCP party and registering as members.
The DCP aspirant presented the list of registered members to Nyeri County DCP officials, led by county coordinator Wanyaga Gathaka, at a ceremony held at the county offices along the Nyeri-Karatina highway.
Gitonga’s membership drive is expected to continue throughout the festive season, as the party seeks to consolidate and expand its growing membership under the leadership ofย former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Gathaka commended him for his efforts and urged other aspirants and party supporters to intensify the recruitment exercise.
The DCP party has been gaining momentum in the region and Gitonga’s impressive membership numbers are expected to further strengthen the party’s position in Othaya.
As the political landscape in Othaya continues to heat up, Gitonga’s team is confident that their candidate is well-positioned to emerge victorious in the upcoming elections. With his youthful energy, competence, and people-centred approach, Gitonga is expected to give a tough fight to his opponents, his supporters say.
