GOVERNMENT ELITES SHOULD BE SATISFIED WITH THEIR POSITIONS

By: Elizabeth Psomuken

Many government officials of the top rank are seen quitting their offices for the elective posts; this has been witnessed with the majority of cabinet secretaries resigning from their offices to seek political posts.

It is so unfortunate that they decide to quit opportunities at hand and try on something uncertain The irony is that a majority of the Kenyan citizens have no jobs and the lucky ones already in the position are craving for more. It is not a bar move though for one to retain their position or go even high but they should consider the new leadership.

However the Constitution preserves fairness in ensuring that whoever wants to vie for any electoral seat should resign, this is a better move then since it creates a room for other people to be employed.

Power dominance is good since at one point or another person has more experience in the field of leadership and ensure immense development. The citizens right of participating in democratic process of the country through voting helps shape the future of the nation since they are the ones who elect leaders of their own choice. It helps in equity since it is their entrusted person and in case he/she fails them, they are the ones to blame.

The elites should exercise humanity and give room to other people to also be beneficiaries of the goodness of the country However no one is to be trusted since when one secures the seat they change completely and forget their pasts This is seen by the large number of journalists who fight for justice of the common man by criticizing the ones in power but when they join it they practice the evil things of corruption which they had been exposing earlier.

It is the citizens obligation to create fairness when voting because they know the kind of people to elect Those with good deeds when elected back ensure progress of the nation but the action of others in their respective ministries is total mess and yet you find people still electing them.

Integrity should prevail in the Kenyan society so as to avoid stagnating the nation The government officials should be satisfied with their positions and give room for other citizens to enjoy the fruits of the nation.
