Nyeri County governor Mutahi Kahiga and area Women Representative Rahab Mukami yesterday sought the support of the Akorino faithful as they seek defend their seats in the forthcoming General Election.
The duo attended a conference convened by the faithful and articulated their manifesto to hundreds of them.
Religion plays a major role in the process of socialization as well as unifying the society.
The Akorino’s Nyeri County Prayers and General Conference was held in Nyeri Town.
The Women Representative explained to the faithful the numerous initiatives she has undertaken in the entire county.
These include empowering youth, women, people living with disabilities and issuing bursaries to the disadvantaged bright students.
On his part, Governor Kahiga articulated various development activities which his government has done among them improvement of various infrastructures like roads and health facilities.
After the meeting, Ms Mukami handed over tents and chairs to the Akurino faithfuls in all the six constituencies which will help them carry out their daily activities.
