Tharaka-Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki has lauded President William Ruto for nominating Prof Kithure Kindiki to the Interior and National Administration docket.
In a press statement to media houses shortly after the announcement, Governor Njuki said the nomination clearly shows that Prof Kindiki worked well in the dissolved cabinet ans expressed confidence that he will go through.
“On behalf of the great people of Tharaka Nithi County, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Prof Kindiki on his nomination to the position of Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and National Administration,” said Governor Njuki.
He said in the dissolved cabinet, Prof Kindiki became the first Cabinet Secretary from Tharaka-Nithi County.
He expressed confidence that if he goes through, Prof Kindiki will serve Kenya with utmost diligence and remember his roots in Tharaka Nithi as he carries out his national duties.
Njuki led the county leadership in urging President Ruto to reappoint Prof Kindiki arguing that he had managed to silence banditry and terrorists to a great extent and that he had always been rated the best performer by Kenyans in the dissolved cabinet.
