Poem: Immortal Love
Author: Ummay Habiba Hira
Country: Bangladesh.
When the night is deep, when the whole world falls asleep
That’s when I wake up
And with it my dreams
Dreams want to become reality
I organize the random dreams with the mind’s wisdom in a corner of my heart.
But the dreams of a restless mind, the deeper the night, the more the noise increases
And a lot of pride accumulates
The dreams curse me.
Then I feel like I’m a failed person
Why do I want to illuminate this empty mind with the intoxication of new colors amidst the crowd of thousands of dreams?
I look up and see the sky empty
The empty sky looks at me and wants to give me light.
It can’t say anything
I look at it speechlessly and understand the sky’s language in my own way.
The empty sky and my empty heart
Find fulfillment in our immortal love.
