Murang’a County Women Representative Betty Maina attended The Diocesan Family Day Celebrations held at Sacred Heart Of Jesus Cathedral Grounds in Township .
The service was presided over by Bishop Rt.Rev James Maria Wainaina of the Catholic Diocese of Muranga. She was joined by among others; Mwea MP Mary Maingi and Manoah Gachucha – CEC Youths Muranga County.
Kieni philanthropist John Kariuki Choromai attended several church services in the vast constituency. He started at St. Monicah Catholic Ikumari, travelled to Nganga AIPCA Church. (Expages) where the service was led by Bishop Bernard Muthoga and took part in fundraising for a church van. Later, he proceeded to Endarasha Catholic Church, where he joined Christians in celebrating the ordination of Father Gatonga who was ordained to service of the Lord on Saturday. Finally, he joined faithful at Endarasha FGCK church for service and fundraising event in support of church building.
Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen joined some of Nyeri County leaders and faithful of Ngangarithi AIPCA Church, Nyeri Town for a Sunday service. The service was held after the unveiling of the new Central-Western Diocese by Archbishop Fredrick Wang’ombe who led the service. The leaders included governor Mutahi Kahiga, his deputy David Kinaniri, Senator Wahome Wamatinga, Nyeri Woman RepRahab Mukami, Nyeri Town MP Duncan Maina his Tetu counterpart Geoffrey Wandeto, Tana Water Works Development Agency chairman Wanyaga Gathaka, The New Democrats (TND) party chairman Dr Thuo Mathenge among others.
Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula joined joined faithfuls of St. Mary Mother of Grace at Marmanet Catholic Church Parish in Laikipia County for a Sunday service. He was accompanied by among others; Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, Kikuyu MP and Leader of Majority Kimani Ichungw’a, Laikipia County Women Representative Jane Kagiri, Laikipia County Senator John Kinyua, Laikipia West MP Dr Wachira Karani and Kabete MP Githua Wamacukuru.
Othaya Constituency MP Wambugu Wainaina alias MountKenya joined faithfuls of Redeemed Gospel, Gatugi in Karima ward and ACK St Paul’s Kariki Parish in Chinga Ward for a Church service and later on a funds drive where he represented Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. In his speech, the MP who was accompanied by among others, MCA Kiruga Thuku emphasized on Mt Kenya region unity for development and a better Country as he urged the clergy and faithful to continue praying for the country.
