Career Financial Consultant, Lawyer and Insurer Dr Paul Mwangi Kibicho has declared his interest in deputising either William Ruto or Raila Odinga in the August 9 polls.
Dr Kibicho, 49 who has consulted for both local and international organizations and government agencies urges Kenyans to discard politicians and embrace leaders.
“I may not have any political prowess but the social capital that I master is unrivalled as my motivational skills and knowledge of citizens’ needs are unquestionable “, noted the acclaimed author, in an interview at The White Rhino Hotel in Nyeri town on Wednesday evening.
The widely travelled business management consultant whose services have been consumed by local and international organizations including government agencies decried the disconnect between education and competency in service delivery which he said emanated from half baked graduates.
“Universities have commercialized education and deviated from their core lines. Where are agricultural students from Egerton, engineers from JKUAT, educationists from KU?”, posed the don.
He wondered how we can perpetually grumble about perennial drought yet we have universities that specalise in agricultural studies, suffering from intellectual incapacity.

However, even as he sought to deputise either of the two frontunners in the presidential, he declared his aspiration to lead the country in 2032 whether he’s offered the running mate slot or not.
He further disclosed that he had been approached by at least three gubernatorial aspirants in three counties where he has interest but had not responded conclusively.
” I have interests in Nyeri where I was born and bred, Nairobi where I reside and Laikipia and have been approached by at least three gubernatorial aspirants”, he disclosed.
Nyeri based journalists sought interview with Dr Kibicho after he posted in his Facebook page seeking to be a Deputy President.
His post in the Facebook that attracted thousands of likes and comments read “OFFERING MYSELF FOR NOMINATION AS DEPUTY PRESIDENT
I Dr/ Wakili Paul Kibicho do hereby offer myself to be nominated as the Deputy President from Mt. Kenya. Competent, skilled, versatile and pragmatic person.
READY TO SERVE WITH HUMILITY”.
The scholar who said he had visited about 102 countries and had his thesis used by hundreds of universities across the globe has very impressive profile.
