After missing in the public since he was sworn in Kericho Deputy Governor Eng. Fred Kirui debunked the rumor that he may resigned from the office.
Speaking to the press yesterday in his residence at Kipkelion West Sub County in Kericho county, Kirui said Dr. Erick Mutai Kericho County Governor took no notice on the pre-election agreement after submitting cabinet slots to the county assembly for vetting without informing Him.
In his press release Kirui stated that it was agreed that they would share county leadership in the ratio of 40-60 percent as a negotiated government structure.
‘I haven’t been involved in the constituting of the cabinet prior to what we signed during the agreement before the party primaries election ,I received the applications for the County Executive Committee members ,County Secretary and the Chief of staff through the media and this is ironically to my role in the said government,’ Kirui said .
He reveal that in the four slots unto which was to appoint CEC members and present them to County Assembly of Kericho for vetting it included a person living with disability as per the constitution of the nation .

‘Missing in the public gallery has ascribe to several questions of discomfort in our working relationship with Governor more so to the members of the public and do call upon the governor to stick to the agreement that we signed so that we can deliver and drive the great agenda to nation for which were are mandated to and to the great people of Kericho I will not resign in the office but will strive for the betterment in service delivery to humanity,’ Kirui added.
Kirui is now serving as the third in the office after Lilly Ngok who served in the last terms of former Governor Paul Chepwkony following the demise of late Susan Kkiwai on March 2021 .
Eng .Kirui was working with Kenya Ports Authority KPA as a water Sanitation/Drainage and irrigation engineer before he join politics in 2013.
