Jubilee Party has reportedly reached consensus for all 30 Member of County Assembly (MCA) positions in Nyeri County.

Sources said nearly 100 people had indicated their interest to contest the MCA seats in the area.
Through what they termed as scientific polls, top Jubilee leadership reached at the best individuals who should fly the party’s flag during the forthcoming General Election.
However, there are some aspirants who have disapproved the move and vowed to contest the seats they had interest in as independent candidates. Some of those who were luck to get the party ticket includes nominated MCA and former Inooro journalist Lilian Wanjiku Gathua who will be contesting the Mugunda Ward seat in Kieni constituency.
Others are businessman Joshua Mugo who will be battling for the Chinga Ward seat alongside United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirant and incumbent area MCA Kiruga Thuku. Also cleared is former Dedan Kimathi Ward MCA Stephen Mwaniki and businessman Nderitu Muriithi for Karatina Ward in Mathira constituency.

After identifying those to contest through Jubilee party, those who had declared interest were expected to sign a pact that they would support their competitors.
Sources said those who agreed will be compensated some of the cost they have undergone.
