Laikipia County governor Joshua Irungu yesterday met with top leadership of the Family Bank.
During the meeting held at the governor’s office in Nanyuki town, the two teams discussed how the financial institution could chip to help the governor in realising his promise to support and empower the youth in the county.
At the end of the consultative meeting where bank team was led by its founding chairman T. K. Muya and Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rebecca Mbithi, they reached a mutual agreement on how to support various initiatives.
The County government will partner with the bank in areas of youth empowerment, Education and Agriculture.
They also intend to introduce a “Girls in construction” sponsorship where the bank will encourage and train girls in courses such as plumbing painting, electrical works among others which are technical courses with high demand these days.
