Mwea MP Mary Maingi
By: John Kariuki
Mwea Member of Parliament Mary Maingi has buttressed her passion for education so much so that her vision is to empower students with education.
“The Mwea Education Summit was a great start to the betterment of our constituency’s education sector.
We have spent the day as a team of stakeholders, together with other partners brainstorming to create a way forward for our schools.
As a constituency the team has agreed to adopt the following;
- Adoption of the annual Mwea Education Summit to review progress.
- Creation of a Mentorship team in the Constituency.
- Individual School performance improvement plan.
I am immensely pleased by the boy who scored an A- from Kangai Secondary School; he has done Mwea proud and will receive full scholarship to University.
We will work to address the challenges of drug abuse, school absenteeism, and teachersโ shortage.
The Mwea Education Sector will be great again, and I will do everything in my capacity to support this.”
